Hello,

We are just getting started with Esri Deep Learning tools and have been following this post. When we get to running the Train Point Cloud Classification Model tool, it just seems to hang. No messages are printed and the tool runs for hours without any messages or completing. Using ArcGIS Pro 2.9.0.

We are using a Quadro RTX GPU with slightly more RAM than what they have used in the tutorial. It says the tool should complete within 30 minutes using the small dataset but as stated, that isn't the case for us. We've disabled anti-virus that could interfere and ensured that CUDA is supported (version 11.7 - updated to the latest driver). Have set the environment setting to GPU as well. Not certain if the GPU is being utilized - it stays at 6% for the most part with some momentary spikes to 42% that don't seem to last more than a second.

Specs:

  1. OS: Windows 10 Enterprise - Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044
  2. Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-2275 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3312 Mhz, 14 Core(s), 28 Logical Processor(s)
  3. Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 64.0 GB
  4. GPU:

Data is being stored locally, on an NVME drive. Currently working with the "small data" from the tutorial.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi @codafett

Did you ever figure out a solution to this problem? I'm running into the same issue.
