Save a grouped arrow & text box on a layout to a saved symbol?

Hello!

I make groundwater contour maps frequently on GIS and one of the components I feature in my layouts is a "Groundwater Flow" arrow. I created this on my layout using an arrow and a text box on-top of it. I group them together so that they move together when needed.

Anyway, I would love to be able to save this "symbol" somehow since I am always having to recreate in every new GW contour I make.

I saved the arrow as a symbol and that has helped but I want to know if it's possible to save the entire thing!

Thanks and have a great day 🙂

You should be able to put that symbol on a small layout and export the layout as an SVG. Once you have an SVG symbol, you should be able to add it to a style in ArcGIS Pro, and then you can use it when you like from there.

See this video by John Nelson.

You've got a map symbol, or even an element within a map symbol, and you want to isolate and extract it as its own file, like an SVG or PNG? Get ready because here is a mega-hack that I actually use pretty frequently. Also, hang around to the end of the video to hear little Clover chat me up after
