Pro2.7 - connect two point feature classes with lines

In Pro2.7, I'd like to connect two point feature classes with lines using a Field common to both.  In the particular case, I have a feature with oil well bottom hole locations, and another with surface hole locations - these are directional drilled holes.  Both have a common ID number.

one idea, since they have the same id, is to join the tables,

make sure that the x, y coordinates are calculated in each featureclass's tables, then you can use
