Pro Licenses on Public Computers > Workstation Alias Changes Per User
Hello!
We have been switching over to Named User Licenses in ArcGIS Pro - it looks like if multiple users log into the same computer, the licenses work as expected - but the Workstation Alias changes for each user:
I thought the point of the Workstation Alias was to track the specific machine that the user and/or license that was being used. We renamed the alias in our lab because I was interested in trying to track which machine was being accessed - but once I had another user log into ArcGIS Pro on that machine, the Workstation Alias changed to a different name.
My hunch is that every time a new user logs in on a public computer machine, this probably changes or reverts back to default - but shouldn't this stay the same in order to track the machine?
Curious if this is what others see when using ArcGIS Pro Named Licenses in public labs.
