We do regular (about monthly) updates to the map for our fire engines as the hydrant data changes weekly.
They are asking if a text string can be place on the map that has the date the data was updated, so it's easily visible. We'll put it in the lagoon in the middle of the river since nobody navigates there. I'd like to use some dynamic text for the date, so I don't have to manually update it.
I thought creating a Graphics Layer and putting text in it would work, but the tile caching tool said ERROR 001852: Layer type is not supported for vector tile packages. Also, everything I find about dynamic text applies to layouts, not vector tiles. I also searched for watermarks but got answers about people using Photoshop on a PDF.
Is there a way to easily do this? The only thing I can think of at this point is to create a layer with a feature and then label it, which seems like the wrong tool here.
