Overwrite Web Map from Pro

From Pro you can publish your web layer.

You can then customize and publish your web map from Pro.

However, is there a way to make changes to the Web Map in Pro and then overwrite what is already there without having to delete it first?

@ericmeyers_cob Save Web Map will store updated visibility, symbology, etc, changes to the web map item; it does not update the web layer items (you can use Save Web Layer for that).  You mentioned that you're not seeing updates when you open the saved web map in Portal (I'm assuming you're using Map Viewer). Did you try reopening it in Pro? If it displays your changes ok there, try clearing your browser cache and reopen in Map Viewer.

This solution does not work for me. I got an error after clicking "Save Web Map" claiming that there was a webmap that already existed with its name... because I'm trying to replace the same file?

Anything new on this question? I want to overwrite a web map, and it seems my workflow will require that I delete the existing online one... which doesn't seem idea.
