OS Terrain 50 colour shading

Hi all,

I want to use OS Terrain 50 and have the colour shading that the OS say is possible with the data. I have downloaded it but cant work out how to do it. Can anyone help? The image below is what I want my mapping to look like or similar.

I have downloaded the shapefile(Contours version) which contains contour polylines and height points.

Download the ASCII grid format

Use this script to convert the downloaded zip file (don't unzip it) to a GeoTIFF

Then create a hillshade and overlay another layer (same data) with semitransparent colour symbology or use a shaded relief raster function.
