Hello All!
I am currently having an issue with a member of my organization not being able to edit feature service layers in ArcGIS pro.
As it currently stands this team member has a license to basic license to ArcGIS Pro and to AGOL. He can edit geometries and attribute tables for feature service layers but he cannot create new fields in ArcGIS Pro.
Anytime he attempts to do this it says it is read-only in ArcGIS Pro. We even upgraded his role to publisher but that has not helped at all. Other members with the Admin role are able to edit fields even back when they had a basic license to ArcGIS pro so I don't think it is a licensing issue. Only thing I can think of is it being the way ArcGIS Pro was installed.
Thank you all for any help you send my way!
Hi Chris. I assume your user is truing to edit fields of an ArcGIS Online feature service in Pro? If so, then they won't be able to regardkess of license unless they are the owner of the feature service or jave an Administrator role. You might be able to setup a custom role with those permissions, but I haven't tried that before for this scenario.
If its a feature class in a file geodatabase though (not in ArcGIS Online) then it comes down to user edit permissions on the file geodatabase.
Hey Lindsay,
Thanks for the response! I will try this today and see if it works.
Thanks,
