I would like to output an excel file that shows which US counties receive 35" or less of precipitation a year.

I have a US counties polygon feature class.

I have a precipitation feature class symbolized to show 35" or less as one color.  And anything greater as no fill color.

If the precipitation feature classes overlays any part of a county, I want to group all those counties and export the list.

Is there a tool to do this?

UPDATE:

I used pairwise clip to clip counties based on a merged selection.

UPDATE:

I used the merge tool.  But in the attribute table the gridcode says NULL for each county.  If I select all the areas that get 35" or less...the gridcode shows a numerical value but the county names, state names, etc. say NULL.

Is there a way to resolve this so that when I select by attribute and create a layer from selection...the attribute table shows all attributes instead of NULL?
