Network Dataset with 64bit OID Feature Classes?

Hi. My Python IDE is complaining that I cannot create a Network Dataset from Feature Classes that have a 64bit OID. Is that correct? The exact same code used to work before, so either the Network Dataset-capabilities of ArcGIS are regressing, which seems quite unlikely, or OpenStreetMaps has changed the OIDs in the regionthat I am trying to download.
Might there be a smar solution to work around this? I am intent on creating a Network for Germany, put together from the several States it consists of, so I would rather like to keep the original OIDs as far as it's possible.

Migrate Object ID To 64 Bit (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

however

Create Network Dataset (Network Analyst)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

Source feature classes cannot have 64-bit object identifier (OID) fields.

It must be targeted for an upcoming version

Hi Dan, thank you for your reply. This is exactly what I found as well. I indeed hope that they will change this for the future.
Do you happen to have an idea how to circumvent this problem? As far as I can see it is not possible to reassign the OID field, so I'm a little lost here.
