We have user that was experiencing the ArcGIS Pro requires .NET Desktop Runtime (x64) 6.0.x minimum 6.0.5 erorr when launching ArcGIS Pro 3.2. Submitted a request ticket and they uninstalled 3.2 but now we are still getting the same error when trying to install. I have installed/uninstalled all desktop runtimes 6.0.5 and higher and still receive the error. Even using the silent install to confirms they install correctly. I have confirmed the version installed using the dotnet-uninstall tool. I have tried the silent install as well as the direct Windows install of the ArcGIS Pro .msi and still receiving the same error. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks!
If the user account being used for the install is not setup as the admin user, you may want to try uninstalling/installing as the signed-in admin user. I have encountered similar issues in the past due to this reason.
Good luck!
I have attempted the steps on the administrator account and still cannot install 3.2 as we get the same error.
Even if you are an admin on the machine, you may need to run the install file as an Administrator by right clicking on the executable file.
Yes, tried that, even run as different user with admin account and still the same result.
Not sure why or how this fixed it but copied a fxr.dll to the .NET folder it was supposed to be in from a machine that had it installed and now 3.2 installs fine.
