I would like to set up multi-user editing in ArcGIS Pro, where multiple users edit different feature classes in the same file geodatabase. Are there specific settings to allow this capability?

Currently, we are using ArcGIS Pro 3.2.1, and when one user opens a map and begins editing, all of the feature classes are locked preventing other users from editing.

How do we resolve this? Please let me know if more information is needed.

Thank you!

@RichardHowe If you go the enterprise database route, do you have to enable versioning?

I am very interested to know if someone has a warning for me because we have a workflow that seems to work for us for a specific project where editors are assigned an area and will never overlap with another editor (edge matching is done by an admin while no one else is editing).

We publish a road line layer to a feature service using ArcGIS Online and shared to a 'update all' type group in which all editors are members. We turn on the editing, track edits and sync settings. And then multiple editors can have the same feature service in their ArcGIS Pro projects and edit them. I realize that we are missing out on branch versioning and reconciling edits but for this project we need it to be simple. Is there a problem with this? Thanks for any advice!
