Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the "Multipatch Texture" - Tool in ArcGIS Pro.

inital situation: I have a 3D-Modell of buidlings and want to match the facades of the buildings with pictures i've taken of them. These pictures are not taken orthogonal, so i have used the "Crop-Image" function in City-Engine to rectify them.T

Up to here, everything is working fine.

Now i change again to ArcGIS Pro to the "Multipatch-Texture"- Tool. But when I want to match the facade with the croped image, the displayed image on the Facade is showed mirrored.

Orginal image:

Mirrored image on facade:

So the questions is: How can i change this, to get the right oreintation of the image?

With the existing editing functions it's only possible to zoom, rotate or swivel the image, to match it correctly with the fasacdes.

Any Ideas why the image appears mirrored? Any advice?

Best Regards,

Jonathan

Strange! Just checked the texturing tool in Pro again. Everything works just fine.

Could you please share your facade image, so that I can have a look at it?

Unfortunately I can't reproduce the case in ArcGIS Pro 2.3.3 (Windows 10, US English Regional Settings). Probably your models have an unexpected attribute on facades like back face culling. Have you tried it with another 3D model?

Ok. How is it possible to check if there are unexpected attributes on the facades?

-> https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/layer-properties/3d-effects.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_7227254...

I checked this now. The "Built-In-Face-Culling" was activated. I turned it now to "None", but the error appears as before...

Also I've tried it  now with the same facade-image on different 3d-models. The error appears again.

In general i can say:

I've tried different facade-images on different 3D-Modells.

Seems to depend on the choosen image. The facade-images, wich appear mirrored on a particular 3d-model, also appear mirrored on different 3D-Models
