Linking a custom GP tool to Pro Task

Hello, I am trying to learn how to author a Pro task for the first time.  It seems I can only select from existing geoprocessing tools in New Step > Actions > Geoprocessing Tool.  Is there any way I can link a custom GP tool that I wrote? 

 I read the documentation for designing Tasks, but I didn't find anything that confirms my observation.  Can someone with experience help me out here?  Thank you!

I "record"ed the steps or running one of my toolset tools and it seems to have incorporated it.  I haven't played with Tasks, so this may or may not work.
