Hi, I'm using Arc Pro 3.3 and I have a hatched polygon and a layer with a hatched outline that looks like this in the map.
But in the layout, the layers look like this:
The dashed outline for the grey polygon disappears and the hatch becomes denser. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Michael Kohler

Do you have a reference scale applied on the Map View? Try to apply one at the scale of the map and see what the output is like. Same effect or no?
It looks like the scale is different between the map view and the layout view. At different scales basemaps can draw differently, displaying more or less detail depending on the scale. The dashed grey line is part of the basemap it looks like. Symbology can look different at different scales too, like your hatched lines. The zoom level determines how large or small something appears, so it can look different at different sizes.
You can change the zoom level in the layout view to reflect what you see in the map. This help topic talks about several ways to do that: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/layouts/work-with-a-map-on-a-layout.htm

Thanks for the replies. I reset the reference scale in the map and the map and layout now look the same.
