Hello everyone I was hoping someone may be able to help me please..
I have two polygon layers clipped to the same extent, but both contain many polygons within them at different spatial locations and geometries.
I have spatially joined these together using intersect in a one to many join (they don’t share a similar field).
Is there a way in ArcGIS Pro to flip the outputs from records to fields when joining to give each attribute its own field? E.g.
Target_polygon_ID | Joined_polyon_ID | Joined_polyon_attibute1 |
1 | 57 | grass |
1 | 37 | bog |
Target_polygon_ID | Joined_polyon_ID | Joined_polyon_ID_2 | Joined_polyon_attibute1 | Joined_polyon_attribute2 |
1 | 57 | 37 | grass | bog |
As well as this, how would you find the area of the joined polygon/polygons that are within the target polygon layer?
The overlay tools such as intersect are based on the whole layer rather than each individual polygons, and the summarise within tool gives the area of all the polygons within the target polygon, rather than each individual area.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you
