Issue with Network Trace — Starting Point Layer Not Applied Properly

Hello Community,

I have an issue with the Trace Network tool in ArcGIS Pro. I set up a layer of valves with an attribute “statut” (open/closed), and I applied a filter so that only valves marked “closed” remain visible.

But when I run a trace using this filtered layer:

If I change a valve’s status to “open,” it’s still used as a starting point.

If I delete some points entirely, the trace still starts at the same previous location.

However, if I manually draw or select the starting points in the Trace pane on the map, the tool uses the correct “closed” valves and returns correct results.

So it seems the trace tool ignores the filtered input layer and sticks with the old starting point, even though manual placement works correctly.

Can you help me understand why the trace tool is ignoring the filtered starting point layer? And how to force it to respect the filter (only “closed” valves) so future traces always start at the proper points?

Thanks in advance for your help.
