This was started in 2015:  https://community.esri.com/message/557743   I still don't see find and replace functionality in Pro 2.3.1 or am I missing something....

Hi Joe.

It isn't in Pro 2.3.x but is in the product plan.

Just glad I'm not overlooking something.  Seems like a no-brainer....

I use "find" a lot and am perplexed as to why "find and replace" is not a part of the attribute table view.  Who doesn't need to search/find specific attribute values without having to perform a sometimes cumbersome query? And I don't want to do a query, especially when it changes the existing selection set.

Come on!  "Find" has been a part GIS functionality for ages. Please return "Find and Replace" to your GIS software, specifically ArcGIS Pro.

Come on Mark, don't dispair. It just takes ESRI years to react on this, that is all. Don't lose your heart, that's just the way it is. Oh yes, I've gone through all that anger long time aago. At the end, I gave up, I use ArcMap. They just don't have got ears for this trifle. They think big, AI, drones, 3D... not Find and Replace. That is boring.

I'm glad it is in the project plan and hope to see it soon.  I liked how in ArcMap you could do a <ctrl> F and it would search the entire table for the value.  Would wild cards have worked?  Fuzzy searching?   I often have to look through feature class village lists in Africa for names in which the names I'm given have alternative spellings or misspelled.

I remember trying to create hyperlinks in an attribute table to a file located on a network drive on my computer. I started doing this in ArcMap. The file and link would be built off of the feature's name which was also in the attribute table, but I'd do a simple Find and Replace to get rid of spaces and replace them with the code needed to create the hyperlink.

Then I moved my project to ArcGIS Pro. I spent a good deal of time searching the table (and online) for the tool, until I discovered to use the python .replace() in a query.

But still, Find and Replace is basic functionality. If it can be found in Microsoft Word and ArcMap, then it should be available in Pro!
