Fields: Precision and Scale

When I create a new Feature Class in ArcGIS Pro, this are the field settings:

When I export the Feature Class as Shape file and look at the field settings, it looks like this:

I only found this on the topic: How To: Customize Numeric Data Precision and Scale in ArcGIS Pro (esri.com)

But if we look at the screenshot here How To: Round off Numbers to a given Number of Decimal Places in an Attribute Table and La (esri.com... precision and scale are not listed:

When I set the Decimal places in Number format to 5 and export the Feature Class to Shape, this is the result:

It would be great if someone could explain this behaviour 🙂

Note:
Field precision and scale are not supported in a file geodatabase feature class or table. If you enter a value for precision or scale, it will be ignored.

subsequent to the Note is more description as to what happens and what field types are specified for data types
