Feature Layer with Yellow triangle and exclamation mark

HI,  I have this error next to my feature class.  When I go to create a new polygon it will trace it out but not place item in attribute table.  When I double click to finish it disappears.

Any suggestions.  I only have 63 items so it is not over the limit.
