Divide Tool under Edit Tab doesn't divide the polyline sometimes

I am using Divide tool under Edit tab in ArcGIS Pro to divide some lines at certain distance from the start/end of the line. I noticed that sometimes the proper preview was shown but the line wasn't split after I click the "Divide" Button. "Modify Feature" window shown in the screenshot below didn't indicate any error, so I have no clue what's going on.

I was able to "Split" the line at proximity location shown in the Divide preview when the "Divide" doesn't work. 

Does anyone know what might cause that?

What version of Pro are you one? The Divide tool has had some bugs worked out in the past. I believe it was even mentioned in the 2.9.2 patch release notes.

Was getting similar errors while using the tool. This has been resolved in ArcGIS 3.0
