Disappering layout

I have a huge problem and wanted to know if I'm the only one on earth or if it's a general bug.

PROBLEM:
At irregular intervals (sometimes 1 time a month, sometimes 3 times a day) the entire content of a layout disappears.

The process is always similar:
I am in the layout view editing the content (moving/copying/adjusting graphic elements) and all of a sudden a misbehaviour occurs. Most common I can no longer select individual elements in the layout view under "contents". For example, the object is displayed, but I cannot change the visibility.
Another example is that I change the text in a text fiel and both the old and the new text are displayed after completion. In the map view, I can select one text object and continue working, but the other remains displayed.

Just this wouldn't be that bad. But:
When I save the project and reopen it, all map content is deleted. The layout with all settings such as "Page Setup" still exists, but all content (graphic elements, map frames, etc.) is permanently lost.

I discussed this intensively with the ESRI support about one a year ago. After a malfunction I previously copied that aprx, before reopening it in ArcGIS. This file could be opened with IZARC. All contents of the entire project were displayed correctly. We then opened the file in ArcGIS Pro and saw an empty layout. Next, we saved it and reopenend in IZARC.... And the whole layout was now empty as well.
This means that the support team was able to face the error, but no solution was found at the time. Neither what causes the issue, nor how to fix the file.
The rest of the document (maps, layouts, whatever ...) is unaffected.

Until then, I worked in a virtual environment on a Mac (which is not ideal). In the meantime, I work 100% on a Windows computer, without a virtual machine.
After a quiet start-up phase, the frequency has increased in the recent month. Hence my cry for help!
Have you ever encountered that problem?

@DrewCover "they found an extra bracket in the C code". What do you mean with this exactly?
I've update to 3.5 recently and the issue just happened this morning. However, in a different way. One of the layout was just shifted westward. I am also in contact with teh Dev team but sending them the data is tricky. Packaging the project takes forever (never stopping). I am actually trying with 'consolidate' instead.
Thank you very much

Extra bracket in the source code that we cant see.  Not sure about shifted items, might be a different issue

@KoryKramer @Nelson_Schaefer @DanielleKairovicius1

This just happened to me the first time today in ArcGIS Pro 3.3

I'd been working on various layouts in this project all day today and this is a pro project I've worked in all month and is probably a few years old. My project has like 15 layouts in it. There is one particular layout that this is happening to, is happening repeatedly. I've redesigned it twice now (as a duplicate layout and deleted the original "clear out" layout, saved, reopened, and is completely blank again. This project is stored on a shared internal network, and has global protect VPN. None of the other layouts in this ArcGIS Pro project are showing this behavior (knock on wood). I was actually working on a different layout in this project when Pro crashed and reopened to the layout in question being "cleared out" this second time.

The first crash - I was not offered to open a backup which is unusual but I re-did my work. Second time there was a crash. Same thing. Thankfully had saved just before. I was simply modifying some symbology on some line work when Pro crashed both times. The maps are pointed to hosted services in ArcGIS Online.

This second time I actually duplicated another layout (that didn't experience this behavior), re-designed it, and gave it the same name as the "clear out" layout. So I'm wondering if it's a corrupted layout file and I need to delete it somewhere on the network and re-using the name just pointed back to the corrupted layout.

Any place I should look for a corrupted layout file?

The layout in question that is clearing out after crashing/saving/opening/clearing/duplicating/crashing/saving/opening/clearing:

Not sure how these will look when you open them. "Campground" is working and was used to duplicate and create "MainArea"

Try opening in 3.4 or 3.5, maybe that works

but where is this code? in the layout file? and where does this live? or you're just saying that's what esri support found in your arcgis pro software files?
