Deleting If Row Count is 0 not working while renaming if Row Count is 0 does

Hi!

For some reason I can't get my model to delete features when row count = 0. In the log file it says, "XXX does not exist". The feature file is actually there in the folder. The weird part is that if I use another tool like 'Rename'. It does rename the feature file that has row count = 0.

Any ideas how this is possible? Am I missing something?
