Basemap looks different in map and layout views

I customized a basemap on AGOL and pulled that into a project in ArcGIS Pro. Everything looks great in the map view, but when I look at in layout view, the basemap looks different, even when the extent is the same. Any ideas why this is happening or how to resolve it?
