Today, Many GIS users are unaware that metre-level misalignments between WGS84 basemaps and modern Authoritative GDA2020 datasets are common. This can cause confusion and lower confidence in the accuracy of authoritative datasets and basemaps.” – sound familiar? Read the article here: ArcGIS GDA2020 Transformation Support | Esri Australia Technical Blog

As one of those users, I often take data in WGS1984 or GDA1994 into project tool, accepting the default transformation(8048):

I suspect Pro 3.4 would have the newest transformation installed already, anyone know how to search by EPSG WKID? Looking for WKID 8447 & 8446.
I find Pro not so intuitive having a big drop down like this: I did a visual inspection as long as my patience took me.

I think I may need to install the grid files from Esri Australia….. So far, I have found work steps that don’t work for me (yet) - How To: Install a New NTv2 Geographic Transformation and Grid File for Use in ArcGIS Pro

Also to share with my colleagues:

First comment here puts a few things together in practice, but one to read over a few times: Solved: Clarification around Transformations in ArcGIS Pro - Esri Community

Thread/esri idea on default transformation settings to prompt users before they wreck themselves, actually has other Australian analysts!
