Re-openned project to find no map or contents

I recently re-openned a project shortly after using it to find that there is no map available and my contents page is blank. All of the option in the mask tab are greyed out and it has no indication there has been any work done. I save my project very frequently and did right before I closed this. This project has been a month in the making and I am extremely confused and upset because I have lost EVERYTHING. Please help.

If you've already closed Pro since making this post, this probably won't help you, but every Pro project automatically saves a backup copy that I've sometimes resorted to in cases like this.  If memory serves, it creates that backup when you open Pro and deletes it when you close or save, so I tend to grab a copy of the backup before I close Pro if I find anything amiss.

There should be a hidden folder called ".backups" inside your project folder, though you'll probably have to Enable Hidden Files & Folders to see it.

Does your company have a backup of your Pro project from yesterday, so you would only have to redo 1 day's worth of work?

I have to ask, have you checked your "Maps" folder in Catalog?

My users frequently close their map or layout and don't realize it's still there, just closed.
