I have created a 300m buffer for all the polygon's on my map but need to refine my data to only show or represent polygons/shapes with an area of 2 hectares or greater and then find the population living within 300m of each shape. How would I go about doing this. (I have a table of contents for the buffer that I have joined with the population data).

Hi Nathan,

I think you will have to start over and use these steps:

1) If there is any doubt in your mind about the area of your polygons, calculate geometry in the area attribute field.

2) Select by attribute polygons with area >= 2 ha.

3) Buffer polygon selection to 300 m.

4) Intesect population with polygon buffer.

5) Count population in each polygon buffer.

6) You could make a Feature to Excel table or a table from the Intersect feature.

That's about it. Go forth and prosper.
