ArcGIS Pro stalling during some minor tasks, debugger may provide reason

My ArcGIS Pro 2.9.2 has been giving me some performance trouble over the past few weeks. I'm it under Windows 11 home on a 24-core AMD Ryzen machine with 64GB RAM and a GeForce RTX 3060. So, I'm pretty sure it's not my computer that slows things down. I've run and submitted the Pro PAT, which did not return anything suspicious. I've also tweaked my settings to reduce demands to my system. Things did improve a bit but there is still something not right.

Every time I do certain operations (for example changing from one view port to another), ArcGIS Pro becomes partially unresponsive. I can still switch between menus but all menu items are greyed out, so are all layers and context menus. This usually lasts for a minute or two before things go back to normal. It's an extremely frustrating situation because I basically get to do one task and then have to wait for a couple of minutes to do another.

I started running the diagnostics monitor in the background and found that the debugger spits out thousands of the same line every time ArcGIS stalls:

<Event time="Tue Mar 08 14:24:50.862" type="Debug" thread="70d4: unnamed" elapsed="0" function="" code="">
Editing HRESULT encountered in COMReadImpl.
</Event>

I have no idea what this means but I suppose that this is responsible for the stalling. Does anybody know what this means and how to fix it?

I don't see the same message, but my Pro installation hangs a lot when it's checking my sign-in status with my Portal.
