In ArcGIS Pro 3.4, the taskbar is showing two different windows (project window and the map but separated-attached a pictured below) even though it's the same project. Whichever I click on, it opens the same thing (though in the previous version, clicking on the map used to open the map window only).

I never had this issue before version 3.3. I am on a tight schedule and this is both time consuming and bothersome. Is there a way to fix this?

Apparently, the map window was fit to size between both catalog & contents pane and that was why there were two windows on the taskbar but the moment I let the catalog pane over the window it was fine. A docking issue I guess...

on the taskbar, try a right-click, unpin

then go to start, all programs, find ArcGIS Pro and repin it  to the taskbar

... sort of retired...

It's not pinned to the taskbar. I did still try pinning and unpinning before but not working

You should  report this since I don't see what you are seeing, so it may be something wih your environment or installation, and not common to all.
