I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever experienced all buttons and menus in ArcGIS Pro become unresponsive. It's not necessarily freezing in that I get no error, my CPU doesn't start going bonkers, I'm getting no indication that the machine or the program is hung on anything, but none of the menus or buttons respond to clicking. The only thing I can do is click the X button in Windows to close the program and save it when it prompts me. Or I can minimize or resize the program Window, which doesn't help much... I'm not seeing any pattern to it - no particular function or action seems to trigger it.

I'm having the same issues in Pro (various versions).  I'm now at version 3.3 and Pro freezes (ribbon turns gray and the cursor spins), usually after I use a map series when navigating to a map series page, or converting labels to annotation.  I have to end task using task manager and open the project again.

When I upgraded Pro versions, I even started a new project and re-created map and layouts from scratch to rule out that my Pro project was the problem.  It is sooo frustrating.  It takes forever to do anything.

I am at the point now where ArcGIS Pro freezes EVERY TIME I use the 'Explore' tool (not panning, just clicking to identify data on the map). Super frustrating.  I have repaired my installation, but cannot currently uninstall/reinstall since that requires a reboot. Hoping in a week or so when some programs are finished a reboot will fix this.   I have tried with multiple projects, brand new projects, different types of layers loaded.    It either hangs on "Identifiying", "Querying Layers", or after it shows the results in the pop-up, with ArcGIS being totally unresponsive.  I have to kill it with the Task Manager, restart a project, and refrain from using the Explore tool in order to get anything done.

@Kevin_Andras - sorry to hear that AGP is freezing regularly.  I did review all the comments in this post and there was not a link to the Can you Run it (AGP 3.4) on any comments.  I'd recommend running this diagnostic - systemrequirementslab.com/client-app?refid=1256&appkey=6D681CD0-BA6C-4B6B-9A82-639759CFD094&requirem... - to see if it's hardware related or not.  Also, check your video card drivers to see if they're up to date as well.  Let me know what you discover - thx!

Fortunately, after updating and rebooting, I have not experienced this problem again!

Happened to me on 3.4.3, thought I'd lost my mind for a second.  I've been lucky and always found Pro more stable than Map.  This happened once or twice before to me circa 2022, if it stays at that rate I'll be happy.

I auto updated Pro to 3.5 and the freeze is back. Please find a proper solution for this frustrating behavior.

I'll add, it really takes a painfully long time. Another error i'm seeing in the diagnostic monitor's log tab is:

<Event time="Fri Jun 13 12:04:10.114" type="Warn" thread="8858: Main CIM worker thread" elapsed="0" function="" code="">
GraphicViewMap Resume: Access Denied!
</Event>

What is this error about access view denied for graphic view map? all my poor performance issues appear to be related to referencing our enterprise geodatabase.

I'm not sure what exactly this item means but I did view the internal support cases and there was a related Esri Support case that an analyst reviewed.  In the case, it stated that their IT department installed some type of compenent recently but did not know what it was.  The only resolution was completely clean uninstall and reinstall as documented here - Performing a clean uninstall of ArcGIS Pro | Esri Australia Technical Blog - then the issue went away.  Not the answer you'd like to hear but it did resolve their case.
