Hello!

It has been my experience the Catalog View in ArcGIS Pro cannot "see" file types such as Zipped File Geodatabases. Is that correct? Is there any future plan to add Zip files as an item type that can be "seen" in the Pro Catalog View?

The reason I ask is that for the purpose of importing/including good metadata for use in ArcGIS Hub it is possible to attach the full metadata to the AGOL Portal item in ArcGIS Pro for certain items, especially for items like "on premise" Enterprise ArcGIS services, and for Zipped FGDBs (at the same time discouraging our users from using the metadata editor in AGOL for this purpose). The preference would be to be able to do this from the ArcGIS Pro metadata editor.

Thanks in advance for any info you could provide.

In the latest release of ArcGIS Pro 3.1 for files supported as inputs or outputs, it says "These files are available on the browse dialog box but are not available in the Catalog pane or catalog view" - sadly it includes zipfiles.

It seems quite silly that file outputs the ArcGIS Pro creates cannot be seen in the catalog view.

For example, the High/Low Clustering (Getis-Ord General G) tool creates an .html report output in the home directory. However, this isn't visible in the catalog.

I agree.  It would be nice to see the *.html files in Catalog Pane and/or Catalog View but I do not see a way to do this.

More recently we noticed that PDFs can now be 'seen' by Catalog if they are in a users' folder which seems like one step in the right direction, but if a PDF is published to AGOL, ArcGIS Pro - Catalog cannot 'SEE' the PDF if looking in 'My Portal' content. In summary, it appears one more step is needed! And it would be great if the same could be applied to .ZIP files! 😊
