i am just in the design process of a complex model that is based on a huge amount of data. and i do my testing by manually running the nodes i have added in the recent design steps ...

unfortunately the model frequently recalcs stepts that have been run before sucessfully - some of these recalc procedures take more thean 4 hours ! ... i was used to Arc Map where running an new node that was just added to the model never caused a recalc of any node which it was depending on - that seems pretty reasonable to me since the preceding result is existing and saved in my geodatabase alreade and therefore there is no need to do any reclculation. at least as long as i do not change any parameters of any node the result is depending on ...

does anybody notice the same behavior and are there any measures to stop the unnecessary recalculation of predecessors
