Since upgrading to 3.X I can not open CSV files.  I get the following error: Failed to open table. Error creating map member.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Pro but that did not fix the problem.  I have upgraded to the most recent version and that has not fixed the issue.  My machine has the 64 bit office suit.  Any ideas. This is unique to my machine.  No one else in our company is having the same issue.

Thanks,

Do you have a sample of the headers and a couple of rows of the *.csv?

Here is a typical CSV file.  The issues is not with the CSV files.  I can open the same ones on a different machine.  The issues is with just my machine.  I have no problems with xls or xlsx files, just csv files.

Thanks,

This link provides the steps to reset your Pro profile... don't let the the title throw you off.

Problem: ArcGIS pro Freezes on the Initializing Screen before the Sign in Dialog Box Displ (esri.com...

under Solution or Workaround, try steps 3 and onward if you don't want to do a full uninstall/reinstall.

sometimes steps

4 Navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\ESRI and delete the ArcGISPro folder and any other ArcGIS Pro folders.
5 Navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ESRI and delete the ArcGISPro folder.

are all that is needed.  NOTE  you can use "rename" rather that "delete" if you want the ability to recover what was already there

Short of any of that working, machine specific issues might be a Tech Support call since they will probably have encountered more situations than the average user.

Good Luck

I actually just tried that this morning, but went with the full uninstall Perform a clean uninstall and reinstall of ArcGIS Pro .  Sadly no luck.  Later today I am going to try uninstalling and reinstalling dot net for desktop.  I am currently running the latest 6.0.26.

be forewarned that installing a higher version may not help

ArcGIS Pro 3.2 system requirements—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

you need at least 6.0.5

Microsoft .NET

Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.5 or a later patch release (6.0.6 and so on), using a Windows x64 installer, is required. The presence of Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 7 or later is inconsequential.

Hello @MWager , just a quick check for you - do you only see this problem with machines that have IPv6 disabled ?

Open "Network and Internet Settings">Change Adaptor Options>Right click the connection and choose Properties.
