Hi everyone,

I’m struggling with a custom Address Locator I created in ArcGIS Pro using a local address layer.

The issue: The locator currently only returns results if I start typing the House Number. If I try to type a street name or a specific keyword contained within the address (free text), it doesn't provide any suggestions or results.

My setup:

  • Role: Point Address / Street Address.

  • Mapping: All fields (House Number, Street Name, City, etc.) are correctly mapped.

  • Behavior: It feels like the locator is strictly expecting a numeric prefix rather than allowing a flexible string search.

I want to be able to type any word from the address and get a list of suggestions containing that word. Is there a specific setting in the "Create Locator" tool or a property in the locator files that I need to enable to allow partial free-text searching and better suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

I solved it out.. with the swiss adresse, we have to use the POI role and not the Point Adress.
