For a while now we haven't been able to use any of our custom transformations that we create in ArcGIS Pro. This has been through multiple versions from 3.1 to our current 3.5 installation. We can't use them in any geoprocessing tool such as 'Project' meaning we have to do workarounds such as exporting features via the map after setting the CRS and transformation. With the Project tool, we always see the Error 000365: Invalid geographic transformation after selecting our custom ones from the drop down list. We know there is nothing wrong with the actual .gtf file as positionally, features are in the correct place with the workaround, and Esri and our contractors confirm that the custom transformations work on their own ArcGIS Pro installations and testing. Leading us to believe it's something to do with our coordinate reference systems or how Pro is setup. We use VDIs and so our custom transformation folder is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\ArcGISPro\ArcToolbox\CustomTransformations. Scenarios we have checked and confirm the same error.
Could this be something to do with where the gtf files are located on our VDI setup that's causing the issue? Maybe something to do with our actual coordinate reference systems and transformation setup? Could there be an update to download via MyEsri?

Yes, pretty much all of it. As we're multiple users, they're created by the tool and we store them them here as per the bottom of this page. They appear in the transformation list in the Project tool, but are always invalid when selected.
