3D Point Features are Visible Even When Behind Multipatch Building

I was having a little fun with the addition of Christmas lights (points) to a multipatch building when I realized the lights were visible when they shouldn't be. I've tried different face culling settings on the building but couldn't get the lights on the far sides of the building to be obscured. There is no transparency on the multipatch and added textures haven't helped. I've moved the lights away from the building faces to make sure they're not on or partially inside it. Some of the lights disappear if I zoom in very close, but not all of them. What am I missing?
