I would like to be able to easily create a new table layer for standalone tables from an active selection, just as you can do with a feature class or other spatial data layer in the Contents pane (by right-click layer, Selection, Make Layer from Selected Features, or something similar).
I know I can definition query the tables as needed, and/or toggle between selected and all records in the table view, but I have a need to create some persistent table layer views based on selections, and it would be nice to be able to do this more seamlessly. The properties/options for the standalone tables in general are less robust than those for the spatial Content pane layers. I realize there are probably fewer users of standalone tables, but as someone who is typically using one feature class with spatial data that is related in the database to many standalone tables, I am often finding I can't do what I need to do in Pro with the standalone tables. (This is one example.). More love for standalone tables! Thanks!
