Sometimes things need to be changed within the fields, that results in Error 002810: "The field is used by an attribute rule." It would be amazing if the error message or a popup window could detail which attribute rules are being used by the field trying to be edited. This would save so much time and frustration. As is, you have to iterate over every single line of code looking for the field name; which can be tedious when you have a litany of attribute rules or lengthy lines of code.
Edit: Another way to resolve this would be via an attribute rule search bar.
Honestly, I think both Ideas are worth implementing. I'd love a search bar AND I'd love a more-verbose error message, here.
@NickAddison, thanks for the Ideas!
The team agrees that this idea is worth considering, so we're changing the idea's status to 'Under Consideration'. The idea under consideration for this post is for more verbose error messaging that includes the name of the limiting attribute rule.
In order for us to be able to properly manage these ideas and update users about their status, please consider opening a unique idea requesting a search bar in the attribute rules design view.
