Add export as script button to all Desktop and Extension dialogs, e.g. when pasting layers into a geodatabase (using copy and paste buttons), ArcGIS Desktop presents the user with a dialog showing layer names and configuration keywords. A user may change the configuration keywords and then execute the action. On this dialog, allow user to export to python script to facilitate re-running of action at later date. While a geoprocessing task can be created, this can be time consuming especially if one is not familiar with the grouping of the component tools.

Thank you for your submission to add the export as script to all dialogs, and apologies for the very late response. Your post was only recently redirected to the correct ideas exchange for Python/ArcPy ideas.

There is no directly transferrable ArcPy API for many of these dialogs, so the export as script button is limited to geoprocessing tool panels. After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we will not be implementing this idea at this time.

Thank you again for your contribution and understanding.
