Convert DS Mapbook to Data Driven Pages

I want to convert an existing DS Mapbook MXD to Data Driven Pages.  I would like to see it recognize the existing data driven text & neighboring tiles from DS, and a way of selection for export using a toggle type setup like DS.  This might be possible with python but I do not know it.

I agree with Jim. 

Also, DS Map Book had a feature where you could create a text file index of map tiles. For example, you could output a .txt generated file of  street names and of the map tile they were located.  Was this not included in ArcGIS 10 because it was a VBA script in DS Map Book?
