Provide conditional formatting similar to Excel for better visual comprehension of analyzed data.

Comment on merging Color code attributes in table view into this idea.

I think there is a fundamental difference between these two ideas: 
  • conditional formatting of attribute values is a user definable format of attribute cell (fill, font, color, etc.) reflecting attribute value according to user specified criteria - interactive visual data analysis.
  • color coding of field data types is a system based functionality integrated in the core to visually distinguish data types everywhere they are to be displayed or mentioned (Field names or attribute values in Table window, Attribute window, Layer Properties, Field Calculator, Select By Attributes, etc.) - standardized data type color key.

If Arc had "highlight duplicates" like the conditional formatting in excel does, that would be legit.
