ArcGIS Pro 3.1.1
In the Catalog pane, it would be helpful if we could CTRL + double-click to open the table of an item (item not added to the Contents pane).
It would be the same functionality as right-click —> Open Table in Catalog.
Similar to what we can do with items that are added to the Contents pane.
This idea is listed in the Your Ideas in ArcGIS Pro 3.2 post (under Data Management —> Content Management).
However, as far as I can tell, this functionality still isn't available in ArcGIS Pro 3.2. CTRL + double-clicking a standalone table in the Catalog pane has no effect.
Hi @Bud
With the release of ArcGIS Pro 3.2, you now have a keyboard shortcut for opening a table: Ctrl+Shift+T. (The keyboard shortcuts available for Catalog pane and Catalog view are listed here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/arcgis-pro-keyboard-shortcuts.htm#ESRI_SECTION1...). Furthermore, If you prefer to use a different keyboard shortcut for opening a table, you can change it in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog (please see https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/manage-keyboard-shortcuts.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_505...
We chose the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+Shft+T to correspond with the alternate Ctrl+T shortcut that is available in map views to open a layer's attribute table. We did not use the double-click version of the same shortcut because of possible conflicts with other operations in the Catalog pane and Catalog view and a requirement to satisfy keyboard-specific usability requirements.
Thank you for your feedback. Hopefully this explanation is helpful. I removed the hyperlink from the blog that you referenced and this idea will remain Open.
