Hi Everyone,
What exactly are the differences between the Parcel Tool/a Parcel Fabric and just creating polygons using the Create Features pane? If there is a large difference and it's recommended I use the Parcel Tool to keep track of company land holdings, does anyone know of any tutorials I could follow?
Thanks!
I don't have a full answer to your question, but definitely check out the esri Training site: https://www.esri.com/training/catalog/search/. Search 'Parcel Fabric' and you can access all the free and paid trainings.
And I definitely recommend the Parcel Fabric Meetup, these are webinars several times a year that go over different topics about using the Parcel Fabric in ArcGIS Pro. I've learned a lot from them!
Also in reference to the meetups, you can see all the previous MeetUp Recordings here:
https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-parcel-fabric-videos/bd-p/arcgis-parcel-fabric-videos
If you want a run down of what workflows look like when working with the parcel fabric, watch the most recent video: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-parcel-fabric-videos/meetup-introduction-to-record-driven-workf...
You can use Create Features to create parcel polygons, as well as any other editing tool. The parcel fabric controls simple feature classes.
But when you have a parcel fabric, you get many more capabilities that are specific to land records/cadastre.
