In our ArcGIS Online organization, we have some Hosted Tables that appear as Hosted Tables on the item page.  But we also have some Hosted Tables that appear as Feature Services in the item page (see attachments).  I'm looking for an explanation, if possible, why this is occurring.

I can confirm that he published services contains only tabular data, no geographic data.  The services were created by uploading a CSV file, and then publishing as a table.  At least some of these are updated weekly via python scripts.

I decided to inspect two items in AGO Assistant.  For both example items, the "type" property is "Feature Service."

For the item that appears as a table, it's "typeKeywords" property included "Table".  But the table that appears as a feature service did not include not include "Table" in "typeKeywords" property.

For the item that appears as a table, there is not the "Data" section in AGO Assistant.  But the item that appears as a feature service did include the "Data" section.

I suspect it's the manner in which the CSVs are being published. If I add a CSV to my content and select 'Add CSV and create a hosted feature layer or table' I end up with Table (hosted). If I take that same CSV, rename it, and add it to my content as 'Add CSV only' and then publish it later from the CSV's item details page I end up with Feature Layer (hosted).
