Transfer items to new owner in org

I am leaving my organization and have to transfer ownership of a few items to someone else in the org, but depending on the item I get one of the two following error messages:

I inherited these items and don't want to change any capabilities since all the items in question are used by others either within or outside my organization. Is there a way for an organization admin to just take ownership of the items without me having to change anything?

I would do this, you are just temporarily changing things and the result is the layers are back where they started, in that group.
