Does ESRI have township, range & section data for Alberta, Saskatchewan & British Columbia Canada or better yet, all of Canada?   If not, then where can I get this data?   Why doesn't ESRI research and supply this data in their Add Data Online?

Hi there,

The Quarter Section fabric of the each province (or any variation of townships, sections, Legal sub-divisions etc)  is maintained by each province, where this type of survey method exists. The Dominion Land Survey method was not the same across the whole country. This was primarily implemented in the prairies.

Agriculture Canada does have a product that has the 3 prairie provinces established as a single dataset including riverlots and parishes where applicable.

Depending your needs it may be available for distribution. We also provide an external web service that allows people to program interfaces to this layer as a locator.

There are a host of reasons why there is not a ready-to-use product. Licensing/maintenance/updates/file size/cost
