Hello everyone!
I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this - I am currently working with tech support, and they say it is a known issue, but that there has been no way to pinpoint the cause.
Occasionally with Story Maps projects - they will get stuck in the load screen when you try to view them (just view, not edit). This happens in multiple browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome,) and switching to Incognito window doesn't solve it --> attached a couple of screen shots.
If you have admin permissions - you can open the Story Map in Edit mode --> republishing the Story Map doesn't work.
You can duplicate the Story Map and the new version will work.
This is not a case of multiple editors - I currently have 6 Story Maps that aren't viewable, only 1 of them is a collaborative project. They are all shared to a group, but you can verify in the usage/viewer activity that it's only the original user that has accessed it in edit mode. So it's not a case of multiple editors trying to access the project at the same time.
All the Story Maps are marked as either public or organization visibility, so they aren't being blocked by permissions
Running out of ideas! Tech support recommended waiting until tomorrow and trying it again - but hopefully this is just a one off issue.
Hi @SaraJL , we're having the same issue and have seen similar behavior. Another post today also follows the situation, here. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-storymaps-questions/story-maps-not-loading/m-p/1284863#M3950
Hopefully this is resolved soon.
Some of our users report the issue is no longer present, and I can see this as well but am still seeing some slowdowns or access issues to the data embedded in the published Public storymaps. 4pm Mountain Time for resolved mostly.
Story Maps are loading again - they were reported as back up at 7am central this morning! I'm able to access them now without any issues.
