Do you have to share the Web Map with someone in order for them to view the Web App. My colleague is not able to view the Web App. Is this because I have not shared the Map App with him?

Hi,

When you create a new map and then choose Save Map, you are creating a map which will be stored in your Content. The next step is to use the Share command to define what users will be able to access the web map you've just created. If you don't do this, no one else except you won't be able to see the web map.

You can share the web map with the "Everyone (public)" to make it accessible for anyone.

If you're adding data to your map from your My Content, you'll also need to make sure that the content in the map is set to the same sharing properties as the web map.  If you share the web map with everyone or a certain group, but the content within the map is not shared, no one will be able to access the data within the map.
