Sharing AGOL Viewer User Account Credentials with team members

I understand that sharing a named user login is not a good security practice and probably certainly breaches the Master Agreement with Esri. But what about the login credentials for the viewer user type? Since Viewer User Types does not have Named User License, is it acceptable to share login credentials with a team?

I have a Viewer User Type account, which I would like to share with my team members so they can also view the data. Is this okay to distribute, or do each of my team members require their own viewer accounts?

I think this question is going to be best answered by your Esri customer service representative.

With that being said, where/how are you determining that the Viewer User Type does not have a Named User License? Here is what Esri's Master Agreement says:

By those definitions, a Viewer User Type is a named user because it is an account assigned to a person (which is a named user) used to access AGOL (which is a specific Esri offering). And then if we look at the definition of a Named User, we see that Esri refers to it as a single person.

I'm just curious on where you're reading that Viewer User Types are not Named User Licenses like other AGOL licenses?

Oh, I see.

I thought "Named User License" was only applicable to ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Desktop, since that is where I usually encounter it (Named User/Single Use/Concurrent Use Licenses).

I know certain user types in AGOL have an associated ArcGIS Pro Named User license (Creator, Professional, Professional Plus), and that the Viewer User type doesn't have an associated one. That's why I thought it's not a Named User License.

I'll have to forward this question to my account manager then. Thanks!
