I???m wondering if there is a way to set the scale bar to be in meter

Yes there is.
In your organisational account. (You need to be an admin)
Select My Organisation.

Edit Settings
Map
Scroll down to Units, Select Metric. then select save.

If you are a personal user
Edit your profile and change units to Metric.
